Lora M. and E. Claiborne Robins Community Innovation Grant Call to Open September 4, 2018
At Robins Foundation, we believe that our nonprofit friends have the answers to the most pressing challenges our children and families face today. We also believe that serving the community isn’t just about funding. It’s about time, committed energy, partnerships, innovative ideas and transformative actions.
In that spirit, we are pleased to announce the return of the Lora M. and E. Claiborne Robins Community Innovation Grant (CIG). The call for proposals will open September 4, 2018.
The CIG seeds a $500,000 proposal that celebrates the imaginative, cooperative spirit of Greater Richmond. The award is designed to launch projects that address unmet community needs or issues in emerging neighborhoods, and show innovation in programs, process, partnership and/or policy. Proposals may be issue-focused, community-specific or a combination of both. Proposals should demonstrate an innovative and collaborative approach to complex needs and have the potential to result in long-term impact on children, families and the Region.
To help you learn more about the CIG program, its processes and our expectations, we are scheduling a series of information sessions beginning with a mixer in July that will share lessons learned and what will be new about the 2018/19 CIG.
Additional details and the full schedule of information sessions will be emailed beginning July 11th.
We look forward to the seeing the innovative initiatives you propose to align and continue strengthening our beloved community.
